About the speaker: Jack Thompson’s fascination with fungi began over a decade ago when he moved to the central Oregon coast and discovered the astonishing diversity of local species. His passion quickly evolved into a love for cultivation. Driven by curiosity, Jack questioned why most mushroom cultivation happens indoors, detached from nature, rather than in harmony with it. Since then, he’s dedicated himself to making outdoor cultivation more accessible and achievable for everyone.
